Employees of State Probation Service in training

From 21 to 25 May, the "Strengthening of multisectoral national platform targeted at planning, implementation and evaluation of the activities for ending violence towards children" project for training employees is being held by the State Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.

Head of the State Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Navasardyan greeted the participants on the occasion of the launch of the project, noting that this training would provide the employees with an opportunity to get acquainted with the legislative amendments made, improve management skills and abilities and receive answers to a number of questions and issues of concern that are common in work through theory-based and hands-on tasks.

The internal regulations of the State Probation Service, skills and peculiarities of drawing up a supervision plan and an advisory report, the risks and needs assessment of beneficiaries, the role of probation service, as well as the topic of child protection system in Armenia, psychological typology of persons having committed a crime and psychological and social activities in the resocialisation process will be discussed during the training programme.

The courses will be conducted by Deputy Director of the "Centre for the implementation of legal education and rehabilitation programmes” SNCO Gayane Hovakimyan, legal experts Arpi Sargsyan and Aram Darbinyan, psychologist-expert Anahit Khachatryan.

It is worth noting that the project is being implemented through funding provided by the United Nations Children's Fund in Armenia (UNICEF).
