Yesterday, on 23 October, on its website (www.hraparak.am), Hraparak Daily published an article on the incident that took place at Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences the previous day, stating the names of two students of the University. With respect to the right of protection of personal data and of respect for personal life, today, Hraparak has already depersonalised on its website the name of the main heroine who had participated in the incident. Upon the request of the Personal Data Protection Agency of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, the name of the female student related to the incident has also been depersonalised. However, taking into account the fact that the article has been disseminated (reprinted) to other media outlets in the network, the Personal Data Protection Agency urges the other media outlets to depersonalise the names of the heroes in the article as well in order to avoid the possibility of identifying the persons.
