Draft Law "On making amendments and supplements to the Administrative Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia" and related draft laws discussed

 Deputy Minister Hovhannisyan, touching upon some amendments envisaged by the draft Law, noted that the scope of regulatory legal acts under the secondary legislation subject to oversight, and persons having the right to dispute them had been expanded by the draft, the maximum time limit of this proceedings was established, the legal implications of the judicial act to be rendered were clarified, and a number of other main issues related to the proceedings in question were resolved. As an important amendment, Artur Hovhannisyan emphasised that the right to initiate this proceedings was also reserved by the draft to non-governmental organisations and courts.

Summarising his speech, the Deputy Minister expressed hope that the discussion will be effective, and the final version of the elaborated draft will be acceptable for all the parties.

Welcoming the participants, Director of the "Centre for Legislation Development and Legal Research" Foundation Tigran Markosyan noted that the Ministry is well aware of the issues existing in the field of administrative proceedings and is consistent in undertaking steps aimed at elimination thereof, to which the draft in question is aimed as well.

During the work discussion, the participants submitted a number of recommendations, based on which the drafts will be elaborated.
