  • Artur Hovhannisyan attached importance to the organisation of such discussions of laws in terms of establishing a common practice in the course of enforcement thereof and noted that there was a constant flow of questions regarding the Law both in the course of development of the draft and after adoption of the Law.   • Chairperson of the Chamber Vanine Hovsepyan expressed her gratitude to the Minister for the visit and noted that even though amendments have been made to the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On Notary" during recent years, there is still a need to improve the sector.   • During the meeting, the parties touched upon the legal regulations related to the field of the fight against narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the Republic of Armenia. In particular, Deputy Minister Kocharyan presented the functions of different state institutions in the field of control over traffic of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and the legal acts regulating them, emphasising that the legal regulations are constantly updated and upgraded, in relation to the existence of newly emerging narcotic drugs.

  • Minister Zeynalyan noted that the Government of the Republic of Armenia highly appreciated the effective co-operation established with the Council of Europe in the field of reforms in the justice sector, human rights protection, the fight against corruption, the penitentiary system, and emphasised that the Government was willing to continue fulfilling the commitments assumed before the Council of Europe.
