Minister of Justice Arpine Hovhannisyan receives Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe

On 20 May, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan received Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni. Arpine Hovhannisyan mentioned that there has always been positive evaluations of the activities of the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe and that she is pleased with the meeting.

 The Minister added that she considers the co-operation between the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia as effective and that it is laid on good foundations to ensure continuity in the future, taking into consideration the new 2015-2018 Action Plan approved on 18 September 2015.

 In her turn, the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe mentioned that she attaches great importance to the bilateral meeting. During the meeting, the Minister and the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe discussed issues of bilateral interest that were related to the amendments to the Electoral and Judicial Codes of the Republic of Armenia, the adoption of the Law "On probation" and a number of other issues.
